For my birthday (which was yesterday, world- check it out), Bryant got me this awesome ticket stub book that I’ve been wanting. So I was putting all my tickets in it last night like a big ol’ nerd and I came across a ticket for Chicago, which I saw with my shittiest ex on a business trip to NYC, post our ‘relationship’. When you’re on a work trip to NYC, you usually end up hanging out with whoever else is there, so we had gone out for dinner and a show because we’re all adults here and who cares that we used to ‘date’. It worked out that he bought the tickets because he was ahead of me in line and said “two” and whatever- I told him I’d pay him back. Flash forward to a few weeks later when he randomly messages me from the sound mix to remind me that I needed to pay him back because we weren’t dating anymore.
Scrapbooks are good for remembering both good times, and also times when you dated someone who totally sucked.

It’s Friday and I’m really having trouble sitting still in my chair. I don’t even think we have plans tonight- I just want it to be the weekend. I’m not sure where this energy is coming from, since I haven’t got an especially large amount of sleep lately. Made a huge step forward last night with the memorial video and I can’t wait to show it to Erik (my editing mentor/co-worker/potential producer of future stuff) for feedback. And I can’t wait to go to lunch. And I can’t wait to have a beer or a bahama mama or something tonight.
