Axe me something.   I like: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Golden Girls, Heavy Weights, Watchmen, Futurama, X-Files, the 1950s, retro future/space age, tattoos, chubby dudes and cool stuff.
I am: an assistant editor and sound editor (professionally) and an editor (freelance). I draw comics and take photos, but not enough. I live with my boyfriend and my cat, who are both furry and cute.

Ugh. One of my parents’ friends posted this on facebook. She’s a really cool lady- middle-aged lesbian truck driver with a wicked sharp tongue who taught me math when I was a kid -but this is pretty racist (and just…inaccurate? Tons of thin, well-dressed white ladies have hunting rifles, right?).
And I don’t think there were any “thug” elements at play with the Aurora asshole.

Racism: Political Wife Admits Gay Marriage Ban About Saving the 'Caucasian Race'(via @Jezebel) →

This week’s WTF Were You Thinking, You Boundless Dumbass award goes to Jodie Brunstetter, the wife of prominent North Carolina State Senator Peter Brunstetter, a sponsor of the state’s Amendment 1, which would outlaw gay marriage. Mrs. Bruntstetter told bystanders at an event this week that the hateful law is necessary, because her husband says that if it doesn’t pass, “the Caucasian race” will die out from not having enough babies. Hoo boy. Take my hand. Let’s dive into this festering shitpool of a philosophy together.

Yo, I know that in their imaginations, White Supremacists think that if they’d only get their way, everyone would look like Dolph Lundgren or whatever, but they always forget that the actual face of racist assholes is kind of more like this half-toad half-Ned-Flanders fuckface who’s somehow both a dad and a virgin at the same time.

RHPolitics: Woman demanding care at St. Mary's (St. Louis) hospital is arrested for trespassing, dies in jail →

dumbthingswhitepplsay:abaldwin360:

RICHMOND HEIGHTS • Anna Brown wasn’t leaving the emergency room quietly.

She yelled from a wheelchair at St. Mary’s Health Center security personnel and Richmond Heights police officers that her legs hurt so badly she couldn’t stand.

She had already been to two other hospitals that week in September, complaining of leg pain after spraining her ankle.

This time, she refused to leave.

A police officer arrested Brown for trespassing. He wheeled her out in handcuffs after a doctor said she was healthy enough to be locked up.

Brown was 29. A mother who had lost custody of two children. Homeless. On Medicaid. And, an autopsy later revealed, dying from blood clots that started in her legs, then lodged in her lungs.

She told officers she couldn’t get out of the police car, so they dragged her by her arms into the station. They left her lying on the concrete floor of a jail cell, moaning and struggling to breathe. Just 15 minutes later, a jail worker found her cold to the touch.

Officers suspected Brown was using drugs. Autopsy results showed she had no drugs in her system.

Danii, Mar 07 12:33 (EST):

Hello,

We are writing because Tumblr has received numerous complaints from other users concerning your behavior at http://dumbthingswhitepplsay.tumblr.com.

We want Tumblr to be a place that respects free speech and free expression. However, having reviewed the complaints and your blog in detail, we feel you often cross the line into abusive behavior that is harassing and threatening toward others. This behavior must cease immediately if you are going to continue to use Tumblr.

If we continue to see abusive behavior from you, we will regretfully have no choice but to suspend your Tumblr account. We would appreciate your immediate attention to our concerns.

Hi there!

I write repeatedly asking tumblr to stop the numerous amounts of harassment that I get on my blog. I only respond in kind to INITIAL harassing remarks, and you refuse to stop those people from bothering me. I am a human being, with limits. These people make up brand new accounts after I’ve blocked them to troll me, and your people do nothing. People post nigger, have blogs with the word nigger, subject me to death threats, black hatred, send violent anonymous messages to anyone who follows me on not just tumblr, but SEVERAL WEBSITES. One person I follow, curiouslycool, has been verbally assaulted by the people who reported me several times, with people telling her to get raped by a chainsaw, that they would come and rape her with their “white dicks” and that her “nigger cunt” just needed some “white cum” to fix it. If you expect that I will not respond to these people as they respond to me, you’re out of your mind. Stop them, and I will stop. If you have to take me off of tumblr because I refuse to let a bunch of racist people harass me with no reaction, do so.

Otherwise go back to being useless support like you always have been, until white people complain, giving no care to your PoC base who gets abused every single day on the site. Riley DTWPS

Tumblr “SUPPORT” strikes again. It’s almost like a pattern, isn’t it?

This is complete fucking bullshit, what the flying fuck.

WELL TUMBLR, LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE GONNA HEAR MY LOUDASS MOUTH TODAY.

SERIOUSLY?

SERIOUSLY RIGHT NOW?

SUPPORT FOR WHITE PEOPLE, AIN’T THAT RIGHT YOU CUNTS?

Yeah so, this is happening and is totally unacceptable.

A year ago this month, Jordan Miles, an 18-year-old music student at Pittsburgh’s Creative and Performing Arts High School, was walking to his grandmother’s home in the city’s Homewood neighborhood when three undercover police officers in an unmarked white car decided he looked “suspicious.” Officers Richard Ewing, Michael Saldutte, and David Sisak, all white, would later say in police reports that Miles, who is black, seemed to be “sneaking around” and had a bulky object protruding from his coat that appeared to be a gun. It turned out to be a bottle of Mountain Dew—which, curiously, was never taken into evidence…

The three officers severely beat the unarmed viola player, who is five feet, five inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. They hit him with multiple punches to the face and a knee to the head. They also tore off a large clump of his hair… . Once he was out of the hospital, Miles, an honors student with no prior criminal record, was arrested and charged with loitering, aggravated assault, and resisting arrest. The police claimed that earlier in the evening they had spoken with Monica Wooding, who lives in the neighborhood, and were responding to her complaint that Miles was loitering on her property without her permission. But Wooding later testified that she made no such complaint. In fact, she testified that she has known Miles, a friend of her son, for years…

Under its charter, Pittsburgh’s Citizen Police Review Board is not allowed to look into the incident until all criminal investigations are completed. So while it took just a few hours to falsely charge Jordan Miles with assaulting three police officers, more than a year later federal and local officials still can’t decide whether the officers who beat him should be charged, removed from the force, or, as the local police union recommends, praised for their heroism.

A Beating In Pittsburgh (1/24/2011)

You want a verdict? Fuck this whole goddamned system.

This case is so upsetting. The photos of this poor kid after the cops beat him up are disturbing. You don’t subdue a suspect with that kind of force.

A friend of a friend of mine did black-face Urkel for Halloween this year. Apparently this was the year of idiot kids not realizing how racist black face is while trying to pay tribute to beloved 80s sitcoms.

christiankeyes:

On January 12, 2010, one day after his 18th birthday, CAPA High School honors student Jordan Trent Miles was ambushed by three plain clothes Pittsburgh police officers, who failed to identify themselves and approached him aggressively. The officers did not say “Stop! Police!”, they jumped out of an unmarked vehicle, one of them yelling “Where’s your money? Where’s the drugs? Where’s the gun?” Miles, never before in trouble with the police and thinking he was being robbed, began to run, and slipped on the icy sidewalk. The officers overtook Miles and administered a brutal beating that left him unrecognizable, ripping dreadlocks out of his head, and continuing to beat him as he lay on the ground after their initial assault, stammering the Lord’s Prayer. There can be no explaining away or excusing what was done to Miles.

The police officers lied about what happened, claiming there was a bulge in his pocket they assumed was a gun but “turned out to be a Mountain Dew bottle”. No bottle was ever entered into evidence, and Jordan and his friends will tell you he doesn’t even drink the soda. The officers also attempted to claim a neighbor reported him as a prowler and attempted to bring assault charges against Miles, which were tossed out of court when the neighbor said she did no such thing. Despite all this, the City of Pittsburgh went on to reward these violent officers with a commendation and, during their suspension, paid them more than they earned while working. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh DA has not brought charges and the Justice Department announced on May 4th, 2011 that it would not prosecute the three officers. The mayor and police chief announced on May 5th that the three officers would be returning to work.

“I feel that my son was racially profiled,” Terez Miles said. “It’s a rough neighborhood; it was after dark. … They assumed he was up to no good because he’s black. My son, he knows nothing about the streets at all. He’s had a very sheltered life, he’s very quiet, he doesn’t know police officers sit in cars and stalk people like that.”

http://justiceforjordanmiles.com/

Yo, FUCK these guys.

This makes me want to cry. Poor kid.

I like that they made up a bullshit story about a Mountain Dew bottle- as if that somehow would’ve justified beating up a teenager and pulling out his hair before checking to see if the bulge actually was a gun.
