Sorry for the gross picture, but this is my ear on Thursday. I fell in the shower (long, stupid story) and somehow managed to rip my ear in the process. Bled everywhere, Bryant was a superhero and got me to the ER and was very nice about the whole thing. I got eleven stitches. When we took the bandage off the next day, some of the sutures tore, and my ear actually looks a little more fucked up now than it did in this picture. Bry is away, and I can’t really see how my ear looks (and it’s actually really hard to take a picture of it, too). I think I’m going to call the doctor tomorrow and see if someone can look at it. I just don’t want an infection anywhere on my head. 

It didn’t register until I was in the ER that this is really poor timing, given that I’m supposed to be dialog editing, which is all headphones work. The sutures are supposed to dissolve in 5-7 days, but my ear looks pretty nasty and I don’t know how quickly it’s actually gonna heal. I also don’t seem to be sleeping that well- I think because I’m worried I’ll roll over on it or something.

Anyway, this is my “freaking out about my injuries” post, because I never get hurt or anything, so I’m not really experienced with how it’s all supposed to go down.
